Following comprehensive research by green waste specialist recyclingbins.co.uk, Copenhagen has been named the most environmentally friendly city in Europe. The results are based on studies into cleanliness, emissions and sustainability initiatives, with the aim to develop greener urban hubs. Changes can include improving transport systems, protecting recreational areas, and reducing carbon footprints through recycling, energy efficiency and green technologies.

The UK is included in the top ten sustainable cities thanks to Bristol, where almost a fifth of residents walk to work. To find out more, check out the infographic below and follow Recycling Bins on Facebook and Twitter.
