German authorities have conducted raids across the country, arresting four people accused of founding a right-wing extremist group to attack mosques and housing for asylum seekers.

Prosecutors said a SWAT team arrested three men and a woman from the group and 250 investigators searched homes in Saxony and four other states.

Prosecutors allege the Old School Society group was planning to attack asylum-seeker housing, mosques and well-known members of the Islamic extremist Salafist scene in Germany.

The four detainees, identified only as Andreas H, Markus W, Denise Vanessa G and Olaf O, are accused of founding the group and procuring explosives.

Prosecutors still trying to determine whether the group had concrete attack plans.
