One hurt in 2nd Pamplona bull-run

Only one person was injured as thousands of t hrill-seekers dashed alongside fighting bulls in the second run of the San Fermin festival in Spain.

Navarra Hospital chief DrJavier Sesma said one person suffered a bruised face in today’s 8am run in Pamplona, but no-one was gored, making it a relatively clean run.

Two Americans and a Briton were gored and eight others injured in the first run yesterday.

The nationally televised run sees people racing with six bulls along a narrow 930-yard (850m) course from a holding pen to the city bull ring. The run lasted 2 minutes, 14 seconds.

The nine-day fiesta was made famous in Ernest Hemingway’s 1926 novel The Sun Also Rises and attracts thousands of foreign tourists.
